This is my re-rendering of the dragon from the classic animated film "The Hobbit". It was large part due to this movie I became an artist. I never knew who designed this dragon, but I faithfully reproduced a large image using wash pencils and ink. The runes which are harder to read here than the original say:
SMAUG (Lower Left) my armor is tenfold shields, my teeth swords, my claws spears, the shock of my tail a thunderbolt, my wings a hurricane, and my breath, death. (Lower Right) |
